January 1-4

Last November I decided to participate in the thirty days of Thanksgiving on facebook. I was so struck by the need to give thanks I decided to post something every day this year, and invited others to join me.

Because I feel this is so important I’ve decided to post the same comments on my blog as well. Once again, please feel free to post as well. Whether it be one time or all year long, let’s give God the thanksgiving he’s due.

Becuase I am just now creating the blog, I will post the first four days as one post, then daily after that.

~~~~~
Jan 1. I’m thankful for new beginnings, and grateful to God for being patient with me and forgiving my many mistakes. May I become more like Him every day.
Jan 2. Today I am thankful that my mother not only recognized me today, but laughed at me when I told her she looked beautiful. “Oh, sure,” she said, then laughed. Thank you, Lord for such a tremendous blessing!
Jan 3. Today I’m thankful for the beautiful weather, an extra day off (much needed), and getting all the Christmas decorations put away. It’s the little things in life. 🙂
Jan 4. Today I’m grateful for the best relationship I’ve had with my father in a very long time. I’m amazed how God has used the difficulties of Mom’s illness to bring about a change in both of us. To God be the glory!
